GEWÜRZTRAMINER 2009 ($20.00)

Winemaking: This stainless steel fermented and aged wine has delicate citrus and floral aromas matched on the palate with soft balanced acid, tropical fruit with a stoney mineral finish.

Highly respected as one of the best grown varietals in the Okanagen, This 2008 release has only 260 cases available and is developing a following of devoted fans.

Alcohol per volume:   Alc. 12.5%

Blend:  100% Gewurztraminer from estate grown vineyards & select sourced fruit.

PINOT GRIS 2009 ($24.00)

Winemaking:   This wine was stainless steel fermented and aged for 5 months,  20% of this wine was produced in a sur-lie fashion and was given a batonage (mixing of the lees) for 4 weeks to help give it a rounder mouthfeel.

Palate:  The wine has a round, plump mouth feel with an weighty mid-palate of rich stone fruit & strong intensity of peach and nectarine with a clean ripe pear finish.

Balanced and intricate this wine will surely sell out with only 450 cases being produced in the 2009 vintage, be sure not to miss out on this much anticipated release.

FREUDIAN SIP 2009 ($19.00)

Winemaking:   A stainless steel fermented blend of Riesling, Kerner and Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat & Viognier. This Proprietary blend has lifted aromas of grapefruit and citrus. A clean crisp acid is matched with tropical fruit flavours, produced slightly off-dry.

This highly popular blend has been making waves since its inception in 2005. This wine is produced under the “Freud’s Series” label at Therapy Vineyards and had 1670 cases produced for the 2009 vintage

Palate: Clean crisp acid matched with tropical fuit flavours.

CHARDONNAY 2008 (0) $25.00  

Winemaking: Sourced from our Estate vineyards on the Naramata bench. This well balanced wine was barrel aged in French Oak barrels for eight months, and was made in a traditional sur lie style including monthly batonage.

Bouquet: Abundant with honey, almond nuttiness, apricots, and a pleasant spiciness.

Palate: Layers of tropical fruit and green apple finish.

Alcohol per volume: 12.5%

PINOT NOIR 2008 (0) $26.00  - SOLD OUT!

Winemaking: Blended from four different vineyard’s fruit; three in Naramata and one in Summerland. Barrel aged for 8 months in French Oak Barrels.

Bouquet: Exploding with fruits and jams with elements of mint, spice from oak and perfume that radiate from the glass. 

Palate: Medium bodied with soft tea like tannins, lots of fresh fruit with the likes of strawberries, raspberries and cherries. You may find hints of smokiness and an earthy complexity that will develop with age.

ARTIST MALBEC 2008 (0) $22.00 - Available only from Therapy Vineyards Wine Store

Winemaking: Grapes were sourced from the South Okanagan and was made in the style of a Pinot Noir with a medium body, using a colder ferment, and a soft extraction of tannin. Barrel aged for eight months in 80% French Oak and 20% American Oak.

Bouquet: Aromas of baked plums, and a cherry tart nose.

Palate: Juicy and soft with flavours of blueberries, rhubarb, raspberries and soft oak use on the finish.

Alcohol per Volume: 13.0%

Blend: 90% Malbec, 10% Merlot

History: The 2008 Artist Series wine was chosen by the winemaker paired with an Artist painting and was made in a small lot.  The theme for the Artist Series was "winter sports" and the winning submission was from Melanie MacDonald called "Hockey Master". www.melaniemacdonald.ca

 

MERLOT 2008 (0) $26.00 

Winemaking: Harvested grapes were 50% grown at Therapy’s estate vineyards and 50% sourced from the South Okanagan. A warm fermentation helped extract tannins from the grape skins to give this wine a round mouthfeel character and dense texture.

Bouquet: This barrel aged wine has a rich intense nose of black cherry, plums and dark chocolate.

Palate: Elements of leather, chocolate and an earthy undertone help make this wine one that can be consumed early or allows for some aging.

Alcohol per Volume: 14.5%

 

SUPER EGO 2007  ($37.00)  

This red blend is the top red wine that Therapy Vineyards has to offer, this years blend is made of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz and Petit Verdot.  Each year the blend will be different depending on the quality of each variety that season.

This age worthy red wine has rich tobacco and smoke aromas which play nicely with the oak. The Palate is complex and balanced with good structured tannins and overtones of baked cherries and strong finish. With 870 cases produced and a limited bottling of 100 magnums scheduled for spring 2009 release.

Blend: Cab Sauv- 63%, Merlot- 23%, Cab Franc- 10%, Shiraz-2%, Petite Verdot- 2%

 

 PINK FREUD 2008 ($19.00) 

This stainless steel fermented rose made from the bleedings of Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. This fruity aromatic rose has an intense field berry nose with equally fruit forward palate. With a nice focused red plum finish.

The Pink Freud brand in conjunction with the Freudian Sip, has been pleasing wine consumers and aficionados since its inception in 2005. With many awards for both the labels design and the wine inside. Don’t miss out on this 2008 version, with 920 cases produced this wine will surely sell out.

SHIRAZ 2007 ($28.00)  - SOLD OUT!

Winemaking:  Ripe Shiraz grapes were hand harvested and destemmed into small open fermenters.  The grapes were hand macerated and pressed to a mix of new French and American oak barriques.  The wine spent 10 months in barrel before bottling.

Bouquet: Black pepper, black berries and cinnamon spice.

Palate:  Very full bodied with flavours of black cherries, dusty oak, white pepper and coffee-like complexity.

Alcohol per Volume: 13.5%

Blend: 100% Shiraz

 

 

FREUD'S EGO  2007  ($20.00)

 

Winemaking: The different varieties of red grapes were hand harvested when fully ripe, and fermented separately in small open fermenters.  The wines were pressed to a mix of French and American oak barriques.  The wines spent 11 months in barrel before blending and bottling.

Bouquet: Black currants, raspberries, licorice, vanilla.

Palate:  Rich and full bodied with ripe berry fruited oak driven complexity.

Alcohol per Volume: 13.5%

Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot
